Higher Education

It could cost even more money to send your child to college if one state lawmaker has his way.

Republican Senator Ron Teck of Grand Junction is considering turning all state public colleges into private schools.

If voters approve the proposal, it could help erase Colorado's projected budget shortfall of $450 million over the next 3 years.

Educators warn higher education funding will dry up by the year 2010 if there is no change.
