The ex-boyfriend of a Colorado Springs woman is now being charged with reckless manslaughter and assault following the woman's death last month.
Prosecutors filed formal charges Monday against 39 year old Kenneth Orlando, who's also accused of a crime of violence in the death of Elaine Strecker.
The 47 year old woman was found dead February 11th, several hours after refusing medical attention.
El Paso County Coroner Robert Bux ruled Strecker's most severe injury was a broken nose, and that she bled to death after refusing to seek help.
An arrest affidavit indicates Orlando told police her face hit a wall after he pushed her off a bed.
Orlando is free on $25,000 bond, pending his next court appearance April 23rd.
