A security screener at Denver International Airport is in a lot of hot water and facing charges of felony theft.
41 year-old Steve McCumber was charged for stealing 700 dollars from a purse belonging to passenger Marivel Sotelo.
Sotelo was flying home to California when she discovered she was missing 7 one-hundred dollar bills while she was at a concourse restaurant.
She and her 2 children and mother missed their flight while authorities searched for the missing money.
It was found 2 hours later in an x-ray machine after an anonymous tip-off.
The screener was fired and faces up to 6 years in prison.
