Five couples have accepted the My 99.9 challenge, to lose as much weight as they can, while following a rigorous diet and exercise plan but they only have four weeks to do it. Trainer Noah Drucker of Spectrum wellness talks about one of the biggest challenges these couples face, the change in diet.

"A lot of them are eating much more protein than they are used to, and they are not allowed to have any beverages that have calories in them. A lot of them are shocked that they aren't allowed to drink milk."

The trainers will be tailoring the diet and exercise programs to maximize results for the five teams.

Tracy and Troy Vujcich are trying to shape up, Tracy, just had a baby a few months ago and would like to lose some baby weight.

"We need to lose some weight"

Christie and Scott Mackey are fighting for the free trip, but are hoping to get a little healthier in the process.
Mary and Brandon Dodge are looking to lose some of the weight they've gained over the years. Mary admits, she's put on a little.

"I've gained a lot of weight in the past five years"

Kristine and Craig Kleinberg are determined to get healthy this year. This competition is just part of it, Craig also just recently quit smoking, and Kristine would like to be healthier to participate in the outdoor activities she enjoys.

"Just to be able to not almost pass out after going on a long hike would be really great."

And for the last couple, Nikki and Robert Mantz, they are hoping to change their lives for the better, they say Las Vegas is just an added bonus.

"Weight has always been an issue"

Hopefully weight will no longer be an issue after learning how to eat right. Tracy and Troy describe the change in their diet.

"It's changed tremendously, it's all healthy, there's no salt, no butter no sugar, no bread, pasta, rice nothing."

And the couples are learning how to work off the weight.

"The gym is tough, I'm not gonna kid you it's tough, I'm really feeling it today," says Nikki.

So that win or lose, this will be a start for these 10 people to lead healthier and happier lives. Tracy and Troy are confident they'll come out better after this experience.

"We'll accomplish it, win or lose, we'll still be winners.
