State health officials say parents should not feed Earth's Best Organic Two Apple Peach Barley Wholesome Breakfast baby food to their children.

The jars sold in the state are part of a nationwide recall sparked by the risk of contamination with clostridium botulinum -- which produces a type of food poisoning known as botulism.

Health officials say the jars may have been available in Colorado stores and on the Web and are warning parents to not use the product even it does not look or smell spoiled.

Hain Celesital Group initiated the recall that affects some 97,000 four and half ounce individual jars, and 38,000 variety packs.

The food is part of the company's "2nd Vegetables, Fruits and Blends" line.
