A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. A 35-year old man was killed late Sunday after a motorcycle accident on Interstate 25. The man was thrown 175 after he ran into another vehicle.
35-year old Larry Smith was headed south on I-25 when he ran into the back of a another vehicle near the M-L-K Bypass.
Police say Smith was going nearly 100 miles per hour when the accident occurred.
