The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs is inviting visitors to see it's newest addition for the first time this weekend.
Crowds packed the zoo yesterday for a close-up look at a 17-day-old baby gorilla.
The young female -- which doesn't even have a name yet -- is only the second gorilla ever born at the zoo.
Zoo officials say the mother, Asha, is proving to be a doting, and proud, parent.
She spent yesterday carrying her infant up to a glass window in her habitat so visitors could get a good look.
Zoo public relations manager Sean Anglum calls Asha QUOTE -- "A big showoff."
