Teens eager to get behind the wheel might have to wait a little longer.
One state lawmaker is planning to put the brakes on how soon they can get their learner's permits.
Under the proposal, teens would have to wait until they're 16 instead of 15 and a half.
The proposed change comes as state figures show car accidents are the number one killer of teens.
A legislative committee will review the bill later this week.
