A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Several inches of accumulation will be possible in areas where these bands develop. For more information click the ‘Weather’ tab...
Jacqueline McCuen tells Denver television station K-C-N-C her
dogs escaped by pulling out a piece of fence, then crawling
McCuen says words can't express how sorry she is for the attack
that killed 40-year-old Jennifer Brooke. But she says she didn't
know her dogs were capable of such viciousness.
She insists the dogs were gentle and not mistreated. She also
has documents from the sheriff's department and a kennel calling
them ``playful'' and not aggressive.
McCuen's attorney says the Elbert County sheriff may recommend
felony charges of criminally negligent homicide and unlawful
ownership of a dangerous dog.
