The hearing for Cadet Shane Thomas will resume tomorrow and
determine whether he faces a court-martial.
Thomas is charged with using the club drugs Ecstasy and Ketamine. He's also charged with threatening another cadet.
Thomas could be kicked out of the Air Force, forced to give up
all pay and allowances and face 13 years in prison if convicted.
Fellow cadet John-Paul Doolin was court-martialed in November
and sentenced to six months in prison for using and dealing drugs.
A third cadet charged in October, James M. Long, waived his
Article 32 hearing and is tentatively scheduled to be
court-martialed February 12th.
