Brooks was ordered yesterday to stand trial November 12th on
tampering with evidence and false reporting charges. She rejected
an offer by prosecutors to plead guilty to a misdemeanor.
The case stems from a report filed by Brooks that she was
attacked near her home and left with superficial cuts and bruises
in February.
Georgetown voters recalled Brooks from office in April. The
former stripper was accused of baring her breasts in public,
creating a hostile work environment and feuding with town
officials.
