Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
How safe are local airports?
Federal contractors tried to determine that at the Colorado Springs and Denver International Airports.
They’re touring the airports to see what screening systems should be used.
The Transportation Security Administration, or TSA was set up after Sep. 11 to improve airport safety.
In the Springs, they are assessing security checkpoints and looking into building modifications.
The TSA will distribute 7,000 trace detectors nationwide by Dec. 31.
