ExpressJet Airlines is starting a nonstop service from Colorado Springs to three cities in California.
Monday's announcement comes as ExpressJet announces new flights to 24 cities beginning in April.
ExpressJet says the service will be available on 50 seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft, with flights to the Los Angeles-Ontario area, San Diego and Sacramento.
The Houston based airline plans to invest $525,000 in facilities and equipment at the Colorado Springs airport.
It also will hire about 12 employees for the operation.
