Predictions of a major winter storm in western Colorado have been tempered a bit, with forecasters calling for up to ten inches of snow in some areas. Earlier forecasts had the area bracing for up to 16 inches of snow.
Slick roads are being blamed for a multi-vehicle accident in Glenwood Canyon that shut down Interstate 70 for a time. Authorities closed the interstate's westbound lanes Friday morning to clear wreckage. It was unclear whether anybody was hurt.
