Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 are back open Friday afternoon between Idaho Springs and Georgetown -- some nine hours after a semi-truck overturned and spilled fuel.
The accident happened about three o'clock Friday morning.
No injuries are reported.
Colorado Department of Transportation spokesman Michael Murray says crews were on the scene early trying to clean up the mess, but the amount of fuel spilled and difficulty involved in uprighting the truck required the roadway to remain closed for some time.
Traffic in the area was diverted onto a frontage road during the closure.
