The parent company of United Airlines says it generated positive
cash flow of about 69 million dollars last month. It earned
another 81 million from the sale of the online travel company,
Hotwire.
UAL's cash balance rose to about two-point-six billion.
The carrier filed for bankruptcy last year after the Air
Transportation Stabilization Board rejected its request for a
one-point-eight billion dollar loan guarantee.
The airline has since overhauled its labor and leasing contracts
to cut costs.
