A reputed drug trafficker, who fled to Mexico in 1998 after killing a man in Pueblo County, is convicted and sentenced in a Mexican court.
Manuel Franco-Ayala was sentenced to 20-years in September for the murder of 37 year-old Kenneth Tamburelli.
Prosecutors say he shot Tamburelli several times after a drug-deal in April of 1998.
His body was found along a road near Avondale.
Franco-Ayala was prosecuted under a Mexican law that allows people to be prosecuted for crimes they commit in other countries.
