Police in Pueblo are still searching for answers as to what happened to 53 year old Gwen Bernard, who died of a gun shot wound while driving on I-25 last Sunday.
Police are still investigating but believe the gun shot wound was self inflicted.
Bernards former neighbors say there has to be another explanation. They say Bernard was a very happy lady who was looking forward to seeing her only daughter go to college.
Connie Herrera lived across the street from Bernard for 10 years and says she is in shock, "i just started crying..i just couldn't believe it" said Herrera.
Police are still tracing the ownership of the gun and trying to figure out if Bernard was the one who fired it. They have not ruled out foul play.
Traffic Cameras captured a man dressed in dark colors walking near the scene of the accident shortly after it took place. Police say they don't consider that man a suspect but would like to question him.
Police are also asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them or Crimestoppers at 542-STOP.
