A former teacher at Brighton Charter High School has turned herself into the Larimer County Detention Center -- after allegedly violating a court order in a sexual assault case.
Thirty-year-old Carrie McCandless surrendered Wednesday morning, and is being held without bond.
McCandless is already accused of having sexual contact with a student. She now faces charges of violating a court order for allegedly contacting the victim.
McCandless attorney M. Trent Trani denies the contact ever took place.
But in a motion filed last Thursday, prosecutors allege McCandless contacted the victim two days after a January 22nd court hearing.
She faces charges of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
She had been free on a $20,000 bond.
