A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect this afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. This FLASH FLOOD WATCH will remain in effect through 6pm Wednesday. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat closely for you the next two days.
A football fan is accused of biting off the tip of another fan's finger in a fight after the Broncos game against the Bears last month.
Ralph Martinez says he was leaving Invesco Field after the Broncos' disappointing loss Nov. 23. That's when he got into a fight with a Bears fan. Martinez says the fan attacked him, so he put up his right hand to protect himself. "I felt it when he bit it, but I didn't think he bit it off. I looked at my hand and I was flabbergasted," said Martinez.
The injury is to Martinez's middle finger on his right hand. Despite two surgeries, doctors could not reattach the tip of the finger
As for the Bears fan, Ajiee Anderson, age 28 of Westminster, faces a charge of second-degree assault. He is out of jail on a $5,000 bond and will be back in court on Dec. 24.
