Police have arrested 43 year old Matthew Prichard for Sexual Assault on a Child by One in Position of Trust.
Prichard has taught at the high school for 5 years and previously taught at both Sand Creek and Falcon High School.
His arrest comes after allegations that he had sexual contact with a 16 year old female student in early 2006.
Prichard was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center but has been released on $5,000 bond.
Police will have a news conference at 1:30 p.m.
