A toddler is dead after being hit by a car. Police say the 2-year-old boy and two other children were trying to cross Circle Drive, just south of Airport around 5 o'clock Sunday night.
Two of the children made it across but the toddler was hit by a Jeep Cherokee. The boy was taken to memorial hospital and pronounced dead.
The name of the child has not been released.
Police say the driver of the jeep does not face any charges, but child neglect charges are possible for the person or people who were responsible for the children.
