The Pikes Peak Region continues to see both light rain and snow, even a mix in some places so far in the early afternoon hours. Eventually this afternoon, the rain will change all into snow for the Pikes Peak region, while areas to the south and east start picking up on rain. By the overnight hours, all will be in the snow category. This looks to end by the early morning hours on Sunday. Another southern Colorado child has died, and health officials say they suspect influenza.
Officials with the El Paso County Health Department say the 14 month old child tested positive for the virus, but they can't confirm if that's the cause of death.
So far, at least five people have died of the flu, all of them children. Among them, an 11 year old Colorado Springs girl, and a 20 month old Pueblo boy.
More than 6,000 cases are confirmed. That's more than 2001 and 2002's seasons combined.
