Colorado U-S Senator Wayne Allard is saying President Bush's plan for more troops in Iraq is quote, "Worth A Try".
The Republican Senator and other lawmakers met with the President yesterday at the White House. Bush plans to address Americans on television Wednesday night.
Insiders say he will reveal plans to send 20,000 additional troops to Iraq as a shift in war strategy. Critics are already opposing adding more troops saying Americans have clearly indicated they want troops out of Iraq.
But Allard says he's convinced Bush's plan is better than the alternative of pulling out, which would encourage terrorism. Allard is stressing that Bush's plan calls for more help from the Iraqi government.
Colorado's Democratic Senator, Ken Salazar, says he will wait for Bush to present his plan to the people before passing judgment.
