Colorado's lawmakers in Washington are hoping to memorialize the mutual affection between the late President Gerald Ford and the mountain resort town of Vail.
Both Colorado Senators introduced a bill Monday in the US Senate to name the Post Office in Vail in honor of Ford. Representative Mark Udall introduced similar legislation in the U-S House last week.
Ford was an avid skier and frequented the Vail Valley since the 1960s.
The former president died last month at the age of 93.
