Xcel Power Plant

It's expected to provide millions of dollars in property
taxes and dozens of jobs.

Minneapolis based Xcel will submit details of the project to
state utility regulators in April.

Xcel spokesman Steve Roalstad says both Brush and Pueblo would
benefit from a new power plant, but says it's not certain Xcel will
expand in either location.

Roalstad says a feasibility study will take at least six months,
and all options are open.

Still, both counties from touting themselves as the best spot
for a new, 750 megawatt plant.

Xcel has seven coal-fired plants in Colorado.
