The weather and roads may be clearing up in Colorado Springs…but down along I-25 conditions continue to be treacherous.
The interstate was open Sunday but conditions were not favorable. High winds and blowing snow, along with freezing temperatures made sections of I-25 from Pueblo to New Mexico very treacherous.
"Its very scary… there’s blowing snow and icy patches," said one driver.
Chelo Ludden battled the high winds and snow all the way from Trinidad to Pueblo and back again.
"It was a solid sheet of ice this morning and now its blowing snow all the way back," Ludden said.
And the bad conditions that have kept State Patrol very busy for the past 2 days.
"A lot of slideoffs and rollovers have been a concern as well," said Colorado State Trooper Jessica Collins.
Portions of I-25 were shut down Saturday night due to the adverse conditions.
State patrol says so far Sunday things are getting better but most drivers are still choosing to play it safe.
