Civil Air Patrol Searching Southeastern Colorado

The Civil Air Patrol is now conducting searches over Southeastern Colorado this morning. Four flights left at 8am to search for any stranded drivers, stranded livestock, and downed power lines. Five more flights should be in the air in the next few hours. Governor Bill Owens is scheduled to take a look at the area this morning and then afterward, Gov. Owens is having a news conference at Centennial Airport at 12:30pm.

The National Guard is also helping in the rescue efforts.
