In Colorado Springs and up north in Monument the sun finally came out this afternoon...melting things for a little while.
The skies may now be clear, but a lot of roads are still a mess.
"You have to drive very slow...very cautious," said one driver who was out Saturday night.
Left behind is a lot of snow and ice...which continues to make travel tough. Saturday a snow-covered Pike's Peak was finally visible as the sun shone brightly...giving many an opportunity to finally get outside.
"This is the first real day we've gotten out...we've been hiding for a couple days," said one resident.
And with the sun out...sledders flocked to every hill big enough to slide down while others spent the day shoveling their driveway.
It was a welcome change in the weather that most have been longing for.
