National Guard troops rescued 46 people from a bus that slid off a highway outside Springfield in southeastern Colorado Friday.
The bus was carrying members of a youth group from a Methodist church from Texas on their way to Crested Butte for their annual ski trip.
The Guard has been dispatched to help other motorists stuck in the area.
So far, the latest storm has been blamed for at least one death. Tow-truck driver Joe C. Tatenhorst of Burlington was killed last night after being hit by an out-of-control car on Interstate 70.
