Because of the storm, several flights leaving the Colorado Springs Airport are canceled and several that were supposed to arrive are now getting diverted to other places. It’s strongly advised to call your airline before you head out to the airport.
Earlier on Thursday, there were long lines of people trying to beat the storm and get a flight out of the city. The Mastro family was hoping to fly home to Minneapolis, cutting their vacation short because they didn’t want to get stranded in Colorado Springs. They were stuck at DIA during last week’s blizzard and today, their connecting flight in Denver was canceled. “You only want to sleep in the airport one time,” Allan Mastro said. The family got a flight out tomorrow, but don’t know if their flight will actually leave or not.
If you have plans to leave and you think you can wait, many airlines here are offering free flight changes.
