Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
An Air Force Academy cadet could now be the first to face a court martial since the sex assaults began after a request to Air Force Secretary James Roche was rejected.
Cadet 3rd class Doug Meester submitted a letter of request last july to air force Secretary Roche asking for a resignation instead of standing trial.
His request was denied
Meester has been charged with rape, forcible sodomy, indecent assault, and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman for providing alcohol to underage drinkers.
A court date has not been set yet.
He could possibly face confinement for life.
