High Fire Danger Returns Today

Bribery Indictment

A grand jury indicts a Teller County inmate and his wife on bribery charges.

24 year-old Anthony Jimenez is in jail waiting for his trial for first degree murder.

Now, he and his wife, Traci, are accused of giving a witness in the trial $100 to lie.

The witness, Roger Sutton, is also an inmate at the Teller County Jail.

The indictment doesn't specify what Sutton may have been paid to say.

Jimenez could face the death penalty for the kidnapping, rape, slaying of 16 year-old Jennifer Baker from Colorado Springs.

Her body was found in Teller County in August of 2000.

The murder trial is scheduled for January 9th.
