A prison inmate, who escaped from the Buena Vista Correctional Center on Wednesday, has been captured in Lakewood.
Corrections Department officials say 40-year-old Jody Aguirre was caught at a residence there.
He was arrested without incident. The circumstances of his capture have not been released. Authorities say Aguirre hid yesterday in a horse trailer that was picking up saddles inmates had made.
He fled when the trailer stopped at Colorado Saddlery in downtown Denver. Aguirre was convicted of murder in 1993 and was serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole.
