The leftovers from last week's blizzard are still causing serious problems all across the county... especially on roadways...driving is still treacherous in many areas.
Melting snow during the day is making for dangerous conditions at night as the snow melts and then re-freezes.
Christmas night a few drivers on I-25 spent their evening digging out.
"The traffic started slowing real fast...breaking and I couldn't go right so I went left and I wound up against the guardrail," said one driver who got stuck.
He says he didn't hit any ice...but I-25 just south of Monument...heavy traffic and some icy spots...was a disastrous combination. A tow truck driver found that out the hard way...the truck rolled when the driver lost control.
State Patrol says there were numerous slide-out accidents Monday Night in the north and east parts of the county and most drivers agreed...conditions were tough.
And it looks like conditions aren't going to improve around here for awhile...as the snow that has been stacked up along the roadways continues to melt during the day and re-freezes its going to make for dangerous conditions at night.
