Snowstorm-Business

More stores and malls are hoping open today, allowing shoppers to catch up on last minute Christmas shopping.

Many stores and restaurants have been shut down by the major snowstorm that hit Colorado this week.

But at least one expert says the storm should NOT have a major impact on the economy overall, with the possible exception of restaurants.

U.S. Bank regional economist Tucker Hart Adams acknowledges a "big chunk" of money is being tied up by the weather, but says consumer spending is probably just being delayed.

Adams predicts this weekend will be a "madhouse" with people shopping, and that most of what's being lost now will be made up in the next couple of days.
