A Wyoming woman is dead after her car got stuck in a blizzard and she tried to walk for help.
Laramie County Sheriff's Department spokesman Gerry Luce says searchers found the body of 61-year-old Alice Lloyd late Wednesday night -- the first reported Wyoming fatality from the storm.
Lloyd's car became stuck on county roads, so she left her daughter in the car and tried to walk for help.
Luce says Lloyd wasn't dressed appropriately for the conditions. Searchers found her body in the driveway of an area residence.
Authorities are urging motorists to stay with their vehicles in such situations -- and, pack sleeping bags, blankets, emergency food and other gear beforehand.
