More stores and malls are hoping to open today, allowing shoppers to catch up on last minute Christmas shopping.

But at least one expert says the storm should not have a major impact on the economy overall, with the possible exception of restaurants.
U-S Bank regional economist Tucker Hart Adams acknowledges a "big chunk" of money is being tied up by the weather, but says consumer spending is probably just being delayed.
Adams predicts this weekend will be a "madhouse" with people shopping, and that most of what's being lost now will be made up in the next couple of days.
