House Catches Fire After Lightning Strike
A Colorado Springs home caught on fire around 4:45 p.m. after it was struck by lightning.

A Colorado Springs home at 1023 War Eagle Drive near Centennial and Alleghany, caught on fire after it was struck by lightning this afternoon. The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded and quickly put out the fire around 5 p.m. Firefighters say a neighbor saw the fire and called 911. The small fire reportedly started in the attic. No one was home at the time and no one was injured. Firefighters say the damages are so minor the family will not be displaced by the fire.
