Nearly 29 thousand people cast their votes, and the decision is, two District 11 school board members are out, and two new faces are in.
Voters approved the recall of Eric Christen and Sandy Shakes by at least a 70 per-cent majority in both cases.
Their replacements are Charlie Bobbitt and Jan Tanner respectively.
Both have experience at the district level:
Bobbitt's sat on a number of D-11 citizen over-sight committees, and Tanner's worked as the district treasurer.
Both say they'll hit the ground running.
"There's a whole lot of things that I know I'd like to see us at least begin to move forward with, different ideas. The superintendent has a 25 point plan, I'm not sure the board has really discussed in depth, but from what I've read it's excellent," said Bobbitt.
"During this campaign we've met a lot of people, a lot of groups and there are many resources the district could take advantage of to move into our classrooms, into our schools that haven't yet taken advantage of. No matter what the outcome of this race I want to see all that happen in our district," Tanner said.
The results of the election will be certified on the 17th. Bobbitt and Tanner are scheduled to join the board on December 20th.
