The memorial for fallen Colorado Springs Police Officer Ken Jordan will take place Monday at New Life Church. That's at 11025 Voyager Parkway. It begins at 1 p.m. and will be open to the public.
A visitation service has also been scheduled for Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Swan Law Funeral Home, at 501 N. Cascade Ave.
Memorial donations can be made to the Officer Kenneth Jordan Memorial Fund in care of the Colorado Springs Credit Union, 426 S. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80903.
A procession will follow the service from New Life Church to the Colorado Springs Police Operations Center. The southbound lanes of Interstate 25 will be closed for approximately 90 minutes to allow the procession to flow without interruption.
Officer Ken Jordan was shot while responding to an alleged DUI traffic stop Monday night. He died a short time later at Memorial Hospital.
