A civilian judge is ordering a Fort Carson solider to stand trial in state court for the shaking death of his seven-week-old daughter.
21-year-old Johnathon Klinker is charged with first-degree murder for the October 17th death. Authorities say the soldier became frustrated with the baby's crying and shook her.
The infant died of severe bleeding in her brain.
Klinker's attorney, Jonathan Walker, says Klinker may suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder from his service in Iraq. The attorney also says Klinker may have been under the influence of pain medication.
