A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. With November's election in the rear-view mirror, pundits and politicians are already turning their eyes to the 2008 races.
Colorado Senator Wayne Allard isn't saying if he'll run for a third term.
Political observers consider the 63-year-old Republican among the Senate's most conservative members. And with Colorado leaning Democratic, and Republican Representative Mark Udall already bent on running, observers say the fight for Allard's seat could be among the most competitive races in the country.
In 1996, Allard pledged to serve just two terms. Now, he says, voters view those term limits differently. Still, he isn't saying just yet what 2008 may hold.
