A snowboarder who ran away after colliding with an eight-year-old girl skiing on Vail Mountain was later arrested in a bar.
Twenty-two-year-old Christopher Dunsmore told Eagle County sheriff's officials he saw the girl cut across the slope as he came over a hill on a run yesterday but couldn't stop in time.
He says that after the collision, the girl's father punched him twice in the face. Dunsmore fled. Authorities arrested him later at a bar.
Dunsmore was issued a summons for third-degree assault and was arrested on suspicion of skiing while impaired by alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident. He is free today on one-hundred dollars bond.
The girl's father, 56-year-old Kiril Petrovski of Edwards, also received a summons for third-degree assault
