State health officials say there have been two more deaths attributed to the West Nile virus and its complications in Colorado.

The state Department of Public Health and Environment says the
deaths included a 60-year-old man from Arapahoe County who was
suffering from encephalitis and died yesterday.

The second victim was a 74-year-old man from Weld County who
also was suffering from encephalitis. He died September 20th.

These bring the state West Nile death toll to 40 so far this
year -- out of the nearly 19-hundred human cases reported in the
state.
