View Ordinance

County officials say a plan approved this week is a compromise
with residents who feared the courthouse would ruin part of
downtown's character.

Some said the expansion plan would block the view from Pioneers
Museum entirely.

The compromise means the courthouse expansion will block the
view of the 14,110 foot Pikes Peak below an altitude of
8,000 feet.

Architects expect to have a final design by October 24th.
