Beginning October 1st, customers will only be allowed to water once a week. That means odd numbered residential addresses will water on Saturdays. Even numbered residential addresses will water on Sundays.
Colorado Springs Utilities started out this year with a goal of saving seven billion gallons of water. So far, Colorado Springs has saved about five billion gallons of water.
City Council members say the once a week restrictions are a good compromise and they're less restrictive than last fall and winter, when you could only water once a month.
