Fallen Soldier Identified

The Defense Department has identified the Fort Carson soldier killed over the weekend in Iraq. Twenty-seven-year-old Staff Sergeant Frederick L.- Miller Junior of Hagerstown, Indiana, died Saturday.

He was killed when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee outside Ramadi. Miller was a member of the Third Armored Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Carson.

He's the 19th soldier from the post to be killed in Iraq since the war began, and the 12th member of the Third Armored to die. The incident remains under investigation.
