One down and one to go. Police in Pueblo are still looking for one more prison escapee.
Two men broke out of the Pueblo County Jail Wednesday night. Authorities say, both swiveled their way out through a heating vent.
Police say, they've been working around the clock and using a massive number of search crews to find the other escapee.
21 year old Scott Gomez was found hiding in a home, on East Ash Street, in the attic. Police say, it might be a relatives home.
Neighbors say, they witnessed dozens of police officers surrounding the home, but none wanted to comment. Many of them said they were too afraid to get involved.
Gomez was taken into custody early Friday Morning. Police say, he did not resist arrest.
Sheriff Dan Corsentino says, the two escapees will pay for their actions.
Corsentino says, "The consequences of their behavior is that should they be found guilty of the charges of escape they'll both be spending a significant amount of time in the department of corrections."
As for 22-year old Daniel Smith, authorities say, he's still out there somewhere.
Smith was locked up for first degree kidnapping charges.
Sheriff Corsentino says, he's confident Smith will also be back behind bars soon.
