One of two inmates who escaped from the Pueblo County jail Wednesday night was recaptured this morning.
Sheriff Dan Corsentino says 21year old Scott Gomez was found hiding in the attic of a Pueblo home at about 11a.m.
22 year old Daniel Ernesto Smith is still on the loose.
They escaped by crawling through a fourth-floor vent and then sliding down an outside wall, using bed sheets as ropes to get part of the way.
Gomez was being held for the state Department of Corrections.
Smith was being held on suspicion of first-degree kidnapping.
